Hundreds of Lusaka residents have bid farewell to 8 victims of the Great East Road accident who died on 24th September 2022.
Among the victims was 24 year old Macdes Kantembe who recently graduated from the University of Zambia with a degree in Information Communication Technology.
Vice President Mutale Nalumango has directed the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Ministry of Home Affair’s to come up with a proper framework on road safety.
Ms. Nalumango is saddened by the increasing number of road accidents in the country and wants to see change.
The 8 victims have been put to rest at Mutumbi Cemetery in Lusaka, while relatives of the other 4 victims have preferred private funerals.
