3-Year-Old Livingstone Cancer Patient Dies After Battle with Illness

A three-year-old boy from Namatama Ward in Livingstone District, Southern Zambia who had been battling cancer, has died.

Clement Moono, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and a brain tumour at just six months old, passed away after a long struggle with the illness.

His story recently drew public attention after Diamond News appealed for support towards his medical treatment.

Confirming the development, Namatama Ward Councillor Kelvin Maambo has thanked members of the public, including the Livingstone Bikers Association, who responded to the call for help.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised, as the family is still providing details.

Clement had been enrolled under the Social Cash Transfer Programme and was scheduled to start receiving support in 2026. His mother, Maureen Pisani, had been raising him alone after the child’s father declined responsibility due to the condition.
