Zambian Truck Driver Missing in DRC – Latest Update

A truck driver identified as Emmanuel Kabamfwile has been reported missing in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) between 30 December 2025 and 1 January 2026.

The disappearance came to light after fellow truck drivers failed to reach their colleague and later discovered his truck abandoned along the Connex Africa route in the DRC with the copper cathodes he was transporting missing.

In an interview, the victim’s wife, Bridget Mangwale, says her husband left for the DRC in November and last communicated with her on 30th December, informing her that he had begun his return journey to Zambia and says he has not been heard from since.

Meanwhile, the United Truck Drivers and Allied Workers Union of Zambia President Givers Moonga has confirmed that three truck drivers who were travelling through the DRC en route to Zambia are currently missing.
