Zambian boxer Patrick ‘Baddo’ Chinyemba has set his sights on the gold medal at the ongoing IBA 2025 World Boxing Championships in Dubai.
This comes after defeating Kazakhstan’s Daniyal Sabit in a closely contested 2:5 split decision to advance to the semifinals.
The hard-fought victory guarantees Chinyemba a medal, as both semifinalists in boxing tournaments receive bronze medals regardless of their semifinal results.
Each winner will walk away with $300,000, while Silver Medalists will carry home $150,000 and $75,000
for bronze medallists.
