Zambia has secured its first ever international cricket win, defeating Sierra Leone by 15 runs in Match 6 of the West Africa Trophy.
The historic victory comes after Zambia posts 177 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs before restricting Sierra Leone to 162 for 5 in response, marking a breakthrough moment in just their third international fixture.
The win makes Zambia the 103rd men’s national team globally to register an international cricket victory, following South Korea which achieves the milestone earlier this year as the 102nd nation.
