An unidentified elderly man of Simoonga Rural Township in Livingstone District, Southern Zambia, has reportedly burned to death after a grass-thatched kitchen collapsed on him.
Police have not yet confirmed the incident, but Simoonga Ward Councilor Peter Munyama has told Diamond News that it is believed the man, who lived alone, was cooking when strong winds caused his kitchen to collapse and catch fire.
Mr. Munyama says community members discovered the body later, and transported it to the mortuary.
