Lusaka businessman Sedrick Kasanda has been arrested by the Zambia Police Service for allegedly obtaining $275,500 from Africa Tango Limited, claiming he would supply 20 kg of gold.
The incident reportedly occurred between July 27 and October 20, 2018, in Lusaka District.
Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi confirmed that Kasanda has been charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
He has since been released on bond, awaiting a court appearance.
