WOMAN ABANDONS 15-YEAR-OLD SON IN KAUNDA SQUARE AFTER DOG ATTACK

A 15-year-old boy has allegedly been abandoned by his mother at his aunt’s house in Kaunda Square Stage One after losing both hands in a dog attack in Lusaka’s Misisi Compound.

The boy, identified as Charles, was attacked by dogs while collecting scrap metal for survival.

He was rushed to the University Teaching Hospital, where doctors amputated both hands due to the severity of his injuries.

Speaking to Diamond News, his aunt, Brenda Phiri, revealed that Charles has been suffering for one year and six months and continues to struggle with unhealed wounds on his legs.

She appealed to well-wishers for any form of assistance to help him.

Ms Phiri added that it has been three weeks since Charles’s mother left him on her veranda without saying a word and has not returned since.
