Tensions have erupted in Cholwe Village under Senior Chieftainess Nkomesha Mukamambo II, after armed men in uniform surrounded the area and began grading land without consultation.
Princess Cholwe Nkomesha, who rushed to the site after being alerted by distressed villagers, says her presence did not deter the men from their actions.
Both the Princess and the villagers have described the incident as an act of intimidation and have appealed to President Hakainde Hichilema to urgently intervene and halt the operations before the situation escalates further.
Diamond News has reached out to the Ministry of Defence and the position on this matter is yet to be made.
