He says Mr. Lubinda reported that while browsing Facebook, he came across a post on a page titled “DR CHRIS ZUMANI ZIMBA,” which accused him of secretly appointing Patriotic Front members and other individuals to positions within the Tonse Alliance.

The post also contained his photograph and screenshots of purported WhatsApp conversations allegedly between him and Dr. Zimba, suggesting that he approved a list of appointees dated October 3, 2025 claims he has strongly denied.

Upon discovering the post, Mr. Lubinda reported the matter to the police, who have since opened an inquiry file and instituted investigations.

Zambia Police has since reminded members of the public that impersonation, publication of false information, and harassment via social media are serious offences under the Cyber Crimes Act.
