A 75-year-old woman in Village Chungupengu, Chief Chisunka District, Mansa, has been raped by her 40-year-old grandson-in-law with help from his wife.
According to the victim’s account, she had been drinking local beer at a nearby selling point before returning home around 20:00 hours.
Later that night, she woke up to a disgusting scene of her grandson forcibly raping her, leaving her bleeding from her private parts.
The victim reportedly shouted for help, and her 70-year-old sister could only hear her from a nearby house after the suspect was done, indicating that her mouth was covered with the help of her granddaughter.
The interrogation has reviewed that the act was motivated by the young couple’s desperate pursuit for riches.
The police have since instituted a manhunt for the suspect who is reported to be on the run.
