Kapijimpanga Secondary School in Solwezi District is in the process of formulating a policy that will allow the school to summon parents who will subject their children to early marriages.

Kapijimpanga Secondary School Social science teacher Mulumba Enerst says the school is looking at ways of punishing parents if they dare marry off their children at an early stage.

Mr. Enerst says such a policy will also help the school address issues of early marriages and pregnancies at the School thereby reducing the cases.

Meanwhile, Chief Kapijimpanga of the Kaonde-speaking people in Solwezi district hailed the school for the move to ensure that early marriages and pregnancies are reduced.
