Construction works at the 600-megawatt Ever Great Thermal Power Plant in Sinazeze, Sinazongwe District of Southern Province, has reached 25 percent completion.
The project, being developed under a Power Purchase Agreement between ZESCO and Evergreat Energy Company, is expected to deliver its first 300 megawatts by June 2027 while creating jobs and supporting economic growth.
The development marks a significant milestone in an efforts to diversify Zambia’s energy mix and strengthen long-term power security.
