A 28-year-old woman of Mtendere compound in Lusaka has been arrested for child dumping.
The woman was apprehended by a concerned member of the community around 04:00 hours on Sunday April 2nd 2023.
Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, says the suspect only identified as Gertrude was seen by a member of the community around 04:00 hours carrying a sack while her clothes were stained with blood.
Meanwhile, police in Lusaka have arrested 12 suspected criminals who were found stealing fertilizer at Nyimba Investment storage sheds located in Lusaka’s Matero Township.
Mr. Mwale says alert members of the public who saw the suspects loading bags of fertilizer on a Freightliner truck called Police officers who quickly rushed over and arrested the suspects.
