Public Relations Officer, Natalie Mashikolo confirms by reiterating that the said area that was occupied was under high voltage power lines, hence the structures had hindered ZESCO from installing additional overhead lines that were meant to supply electricity to a new hospital under construction in Chalala Township.

Earlier this year, authorities discovered some unscrupulous people had commenced construction of various buildings in the Lusaka National Park.

And Care for Nature Executive Director Nsama is concerned over rampant encroachment in protected areas, a habit that endangers wildlife and is the reason for frequent human-animal conflicts and poaching.
