Three-year-old Grace Mpofu, who tragically lost her life after being physically assaulted by Lemmy Mulilo, has been laid to rest at Chingwere Cemetery in Lusaka.
According to the family, Grace had gone to buy a snack at a nearby shop when the suspect allegedly attacked her.
She was rushed to hospital for treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.
Medical examinations have revealed that the child sustained a fractured skull.
The suspect has been charged with murder remains in police custody as he awaits court appearance.
