Over hundred youths in Livingstone have shunned skills training courses funded under the 2022 Constituency Development Funds for cash on pretext of wanting startup capital.

CDF Chairperson, Christopher Siamwenya, notes with sadness that despite receiving offer letters from trade schools, the youths have opted to stay off class opting for the streets.

He explains that to cure the high unemployment levels from a community with 75 percent youths, skills training and entrepreneurship is the solution to a productive society.

And Livingstone Member of Parliament, Rodney Sikumba, says unlocking rigidities that hinder effective use of CDF is key to attaining positive development.
