An 11-year-old boy of Lusaka’s Mtendere Township is nursing wounds in Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital after he was attacked by two dogs.

The boy sustained wounds all over his body and was rescued by a member of the community in PHI area of Benjamin Mwila Road, who shot and injured one of the dogs.

Zambia police deputy spokesperson, Danny Mwale, says the owner of the dogs, Mungo Chingaya, aged 40, has since been arrested for being a reckless pet owner.

The boy’s mother is traumatized after the unfortunate incident.
